Track lighting is a popular alternative to general ceiling or wall lighting, wall washing or accent lighting. Because of its versatility and adaptability, track lighting systems are often employed in a variety of residential and commercial settings.

From design layout to track sections to track heads, there are many combinations of track lighting systems to consider for your application. Straight runs provide for the most basic form of track lighting with a simple, straight connector linking multiple sections together. Conversely, a flex connector makes for a more complex track lighting system by allowing for a variety of layouts at virtually any angle or variation of planes. Also consider “L” layouts, cross layouts, “T” layouts and dog leg layouts, among others, in order to achieve a unique look. For an energy efficient track head, use a PAR lamp, as it’ll also achieve good optics and high color quality. If you’re looking for something more cost-effective to outfit a larger sized commercial setting, then consider a fluorescent light, as it can endure longer use.
