Paolo Venini

Paolo Venini, a Milanese lawyer and businessman, started his glassworks company in Murano, Italy in 1921. The company first opened under the name Vetri Soffiati Muranesi Cappellin Venini & Co that Venini started with Giacomo Cappelin, an antiques dealer, and Vittorio Zecchin, a painter. After several years Cappelin and Zecchin split from the firm, but Paolo Venini continued under the name it''s known as today. Venini''s innovative approach to glass production involved a receptiveness to other fields of art. Through collaborations with designers, architects and other international artists Venini created a harmonious unified style that blossomed into a designer trademark.

David from Louisville, KY	5.0 11/20/2011 Cool lamps Product Review I originally bought one of the smaller lamps (the zen lamp) on a impulse and liked it so much I decided to get a couple of the large cube lamps to match. I got them as stools for game playing. The setting that slowly changes from one color to another is great and these are very unique and set a really good game room mood. Would love to have a few more. The only problem is getting them set to the mode Id like. I also purchased the remote (another review) which doesnt work even close to what is described. I like it because it is different it sets off a nice soft glow to the room. you can set it on alternating colors or you can set it on your desired color to match your collor scheme in your room.
