I wanted lights that would go together but not be the exact same. I got the 5 light for the dining room and the 3 light for the kitchen. I have an A frame style house so both lights can be seen at the same time. They are made well and look great with a knotty pine tongue and groove ceiling. The brushed nickel go very well in kitchens with stainless steel (stove, fridge etc.) Some lights I looked at could only use 60 watts but these will take 100 watt (each bulb). I thought 500 watts may be to bright for the dining room so we added a dimmer switch, but find we really like the bright lighting for many tasks. We prefer the shades in up position but can be turned down if prefered. Nothing I dislike about these lights.
