Jonathan Adler was born and raised in New Jersey. He laid the foundation to his design career by making pots at a summer camp in 1978, discovering his passion. After studying semiotics and art history at Brown University, Jonathan turned his passion into a fulltime job.
Jonathan Adler further developed his career by expanding his design into new categories including lighting, bedding, towels, and stationery. His lighting designs have been celebrated for the modern shapes, energetic colors, and exciting patterns that are the hallmark of all of his work today. His Parker Collection is often featured in luxury hotels such as the Parker Palm Springs Hotel. Adler combines a modern style with a cozy feeling to create wonderful lights.
Adler currently has stores and boutiques across the country. His home designs have appeared on the sets of The Today Show, Sex and the City, Will and Grace, and The Apprentice. Jonathan Adler also currently serves as the lead judge on the hit Bravo show Top Design.
