Jurgen Laub was born in Ulm in 1964, and Markus Jehs was born in Stuttgart in 1965. Both of them hold diplomas of industrial design, awarded by the FHfG Schwabisch Gmund in 1992. Two years after Jehs & Laub received their degrees in industrial architecture, they became partners and set up the Jehs & Laub Studio.

They are noted for their projects in the ambit of lamps, furniture, and seating. They designed certain modern upholstered items for Cassina, presented in 2002. In addition to their exquisite furniture design, Jehs & Laub are responsible for the incredible Leo Lamp Collection, featuring sleek adjustable desk lamps in either halogen or incandescent models. Furthermore, they are proud originators of the extraordinary Constellation Collection, comprised of both indoor and outdoor, wall or ceilling lights, all manufactured by Nemo.
