Over fifty years ago Rose Feiss began sewing lampshades to occupy her time while her son Murray was serving in the Navy during WWII. What began as an endeavor to pass the time, developed into a cottage industry filling the days of many wives and mothers in The Bronx, NY.
After the war, Murray joined his mother’s business and expanded it to include portable lighting. The company moved to larger headquarters, and the business grew. Three generations have nurtured the company and it now stands as a leader with a reputation for impeccable craftsmanship, innovative design and honest value.
With pride in the past and commitment to the future, Feiss has expanded its extensive, copyrighted line of products to include grand chandeliers, casual fixtures, vanity bath lights with coordinated bath hardware, outdoor lighting, lamps, torchieres, wall brackets, and decorative accessories. A talented award winning in-house design team of industrial, graphic and interior designers work with engineers and draftsmen, color forecasters, and quality control experts to guarantee that only the finest materials are used and design integrity is maintained. These lighting designs are brought to life in factories overseas, where over 3,500 skilled professionals manufacture the exclusive product. Every product is meticulously finished and quality tested, not once but twice by an independent team of engineers.
They are proud to be the exclusive manufacturer of Bob Mackie Home lighting, a name synonymous with glamour and style. Additionally, they are the exclusive lighting and accessory licensee for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation’s: Williamsburg Pure • Simple • Today: a collaboration that brings the traditional and the transitional heritage that defines Williamsburg’s commitment to authentic American lamp designs and quality. Comments about Murray Feiss Boulevard One Light Wall Sconce Lamp in Oil Rubbed Bronze:
We were pleased with the lighting and design, but agree that the "oil rubbed bronze" finish is "faux-like" and not of the same quality found in similar lighting style offered by other manufacturers. For our purposes (flanking windows in an entry hall) they are fine, but the new cost(a recent increase of 100%!)would prevent us from selecting these fixtures in the future.

Comments about Murray Feiss Boulevard One Light Wall Sconce Lamp in Oil Rubbed Bronze:
Of course, to install this piece requires more than just plug in the wall. I had a professional electrician put these up for me but they are so beautiful! He also installed a dimmer switch and I can adjust the light from absolute brightness to intimate warmth. Worth every penny!
Service and delivery comments:
Great service: thorough packaging, quick delivery, no parts missing.

Comments about Murray Feiss Boulevard One Light Wall Sconce Lamp in Oil Rubbed Bronze:
I love this fixture- the simple elegance is wonderful. I used short light bulbs as standard ones showed over the top of the glass- (maybe has to do with the height at which we installed them) I put two of them over a built in console/buffet area, and one on the opposite side of the same wide hallway. [...]Looks great in my somewhat retro-contemporary room.

We bought one at first to see if we liked it and decided to buy 3 more for our home. A nice diffused light that works well with energy-saving light bulbs.

Comments about Murray Feiss Boulevard One Light Wall Sconce Lamp in Oil Rubbed Bronze:
The quality and workmanship of these Murray Feiss wall sconces are the worst I have ever seen. The welded brackets that hold the glass are not at the same heights as one another and one lamp has the bracket welded on crooked. The so-called oil rubbed bronze is a cheep sprayed on paint which has dust caught in the fake finish. This is faults advertisement at it best. What an insult.
Service and delivery comments:
The delivery was indeed promp and the product arrived in a well packaged parcel.
