About Murray Feiss:
Over fifty years ago, Rose Feiss, an immigrant with talent and spirit, began sewing lampshades to occupy her time while her son Murray was serving in the Navy during WWII. What began as an endeavor to pass the time, developed into a cottage industry filling the days of many wives and mothers in The Bronx, NY. After the war, Murray joined his mother’s business and expanded it to include portable lighting. The company moved to larger headquarters, and the business grew. Three generations have nurtured the company and it now stands as a leader with a reputation for impeccable craftsmanship, innovative design and honest value. In 2002 the company opened a five and one-half million cubic foot, state of the art distribution center. With pride in the past and commitment to the future, Feiss has expanded its extensive, copyrighted line of products to include grand chandeliers, casual fixtures, vanity bath lights with coordinated bath hardware, outdoor lighting, lamps, torchieres, wall brackets, and decorative accessories. We do not require an adult signature for deliveries, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. If you want an item left at your doorstep, the best thing to do is leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave your package with "No Signature Required." This light cannot be installed as delivered. I had to modify/bend the brackets to secure the glass. The metal is thin and cheaply finished with a faux bronze coating. The white glass shade provides a harsh light-- not a warm, comfortable light.\nI would NOT recommend this fixture. I would return this Murray Feis but the box is gone and I'll change it out soon.

We had great difficulty installing this fixture. The shade is too small for the fixture and slips out of the brackets. We finally ended up gluing it in place but I'm really concerned that the glue may not hold. Unfortunately, with return shipping and restocking fee, it just didn't pay to return it. Very dissapointing!

After spending hours shopping local stores and online for a kitchen lighting I came across this collection from Murray Feiss. I paired this light with the 3 light chandelier in a larger kitchen area. I appreciate the fact that this fixture can take up to 2 - 100 watt bulbs. It's stylish, yet simple, and well made. It was a bit tricky to assemble, but looks great and casts a subtle shadow on the ceiling. Very good choice! \n\nCSN came through with fast shipping and good communication. Thanks!
