Bad Design - Misleading Advertising

Comments about Minka Lavery One Light Wall Sconce in Antique Bronze:

We ordered 5 of these for our newly remodeled library and entertainment area. From the picture on the website and the dimensions listed, it seemed like they would be perfect for our application. The globes are pretty, and the accent hardware is nice. Those are all of the fixtures' good points.
The mounting plates for the fixtures stick up above the globe by 1", and a standard medium-base bulb projects above the fixture by 1/4" (Not shown in website photo). The mounting plate doesn't cover a standard junction box, either (need caulking to make this gap disappear). If these were mounted at 7' or higher in a small room (8-9' or higher in a larger room) these might be OK, because you would never see the mounting plate and bulb sticking out. In a normal household setting, these are entirely unacceptable in every sense.
