Comments about Minka Lavery Iconic Mini Chandelier:
As others have described, the links will require serious tools to break so you can shorten the chain, and I'd recommend if you think you might need to adjust the height later that you keep the leftover links. Also take serious time to decide height before actually getting ready to install - get someone to hold the chandelier while you stand back and check it out and then measure the distance. Doing it mid-install is not fun b/c the chandelier is heavy, plus the links are so difficult so they're not easy to change and once you bend them they don't look "like new" if you want to add on a link and bend then back into place.\n\nAlso, VERY limited space in the cap that hides the wires where they meet the ceiling so you're probably going to have to shorten the electrical wire.\n\nRecommend you install bulbs and glass bowls right before you finally hang it because the bowls must be installed before you can insert the bulb and if it's taller than you it's awkward if you can't see what you're doing.\n\nLastly, you'll need keen eyes to catch the wattage for the bulbs. If you've already installed the chandelier you're going to have to climb up and stare down into the bowl to see the wattage sticker. Recommend you remove those stickers and stick them out of sight on the bottom of one of the bowls so you can easily see the wattage later to remind yourself.\n\nIt's easy to stick a bulb in there and then forget and when the bulbs burn out if its not labelled with the wattage too then you'll have to be climbing up there to check it. Takes 100W.\n\nMaterials are solid, sturdy, well made, and handsome. Looks both modern and traditional, a nice combination, simple and clean, but with a bit of romance, particularly if you use an incandescent for soft yellow light rather than halogen.\n\nInstalled it with a dimmer - looks great!

Very pleased with the appearance and quality. Only negative comment is the heavy duty chain links, which are a very attractive feature, are difficult to remove in order to adjust the length. Overall extremely happy with the product.
