I bought this chandelier for my bedroom, and it looks great. I don't like fussy, ornate chandeliers, and this one is sleek and beautiful. It looks fabulous with a ceiling medallion. I selected the five-light version because my bedroom is large, so I needed a large chandelier. It gives off a lot of light, so I highly recommend installing a dimmer switch for those times when you don't want bright light. I would rate the assembly and installation as "medium" - not the easiest I've ever assembled and installed, but not difficult. The only negative with this chandelier is that it's extremely heavy - be sure to mount it securely.
