The one troubling feature about this fixture is the electronic dimmer. I've had this fail on similar halogen fixtures and as this item is basically irreplaceable, the fixture was a throwaway. I ended up installing a simple switch. Also, see proper way on net of cleaning up broken compact fluorescents.

This is a great find if you're looking for a fluorescent torchiere, which I could not find a any local retailer, big-box store or even speciality stores in South Florida. The product is as good as it looks and the quality appears to be excellent. It is properly packaged and arrived without a hitch from CSN. The only downside to this product is the cost, which is more than I was expecting to pay.
