Light fixture was very loose and bulb didn't work properly

I found this lamp to be easy to assemble and is made of good quality parts. It is unfortunate that the ballast cannot be replace seperately but is a problem for all floor standing lamps I have seen. For us this lamp is plugged into a socket outlet controlled by wall switch. We keep the switch on the lamp in "on" position so one can just use the wall switch to turn the lamp on and off. The lamp sometimes does not turn on for some reason and requires twigging to work again. Overall I am ok with the purchase.
