We are using 2 in a low-ceiling basement living/bedroom and 1 in the stairwell area in conjunction with dimmers. We also installed "can" lighting, but now that all is in, we have unscrewed most of the can lights. Makes a very nice "night light" in the stairwell when set at the lowest dim. Light washes above and below the fixture - interesting.

Put four of them up around the perimter of my new "media room" in the basement -- wired up on a dimmer switch and it's a great look. A little fussy assembling them but after the first one it went fast. Not sure how easy changing bulbs will be however! Can't beat it for the price.
