George Kovacs P266-1-615B - Madake Swing Arm Wall Lamp in Dorian Bronze
Part of the Madake collection (View full Madake collection)
There are certain wall lamps that are perfect for doing work, reading, and more; this swing arm wall lamp is one of those. The swing arm feature allows you to position your lamp anyway that will provide the most comfortable light intensity on your eyes while keeping the light parallel to the area. The dorian bronze finish enables this lamp to look great with any color scheme.

Comments about George Kovacs by Minka Madake Swing Arm Wall Lamp in Dorian Bronze:
I looked long and hard to find this great design. Even called to see if bulbs were readily available, never thinking to ask if the lamp put out enough light to be useful. \n\nThey are pretty close to useless as bed-side reading lamps, only emit enought light for atmosphere, and neon atmosphere at that. I am so disappointed. It's as if no one at the company checked them before including them in your products.

I love the look, sleek, clean lines, perfect for my living room. I really dont like the feel, glow of the florescent bulb. I am looking for a warmer color bulb.

Comments about George Kovacs by Minka Madake Swing Arm Wall Lamp in Dorian Bronze:
I am a designer of sorts myself including furniture and houses. I bought these lamps because I wanted something that could fold flat to the wall and out of the way. Well, these fold almost flat.... The arm of the lamp should have been shorter on the top bar or longer on the bottom...but because they made both of the arms the same length, when you fold it back, the lamp hits itself instead of resting flat to the wall. \n\nThe lights produce a really clear white light but might have been better with some sort of cover that would hide the actual bulb and diffuse the glare of the light just a little, making it more comfortable to read under.\n\nLastly, I think a result of poor manufacturing, the light bar (where the bulb sits) doesn't angle perfectly horizontal. It has a slight cant downward on its end.\n\nThis lamp is meant to be perfectly horizontal and fold back nicely on itself...otherwise it wouldn't have such a sharp and simple shape. \n\nSo, while I still like the lamps I would have preferred some better follow through by the designer. \n\nAlso, while I'd recommend these lamps to a friend I'd make sure they know my dislikes listed above.
