For an affordable, well-made tripod lamp, this one's terrific. The shade is stunning - very high quality. Everything fits together neatly and well, but we had a little difficulty attaching the leg component to the socket component - just a bit of juggling. Switches and legs are well made. I think I would have liked the legs to be a little thicker to balance the size of the shade, but the light is so attractive for the price, I'm probably quibbling.
