Comments about Craftmade 2.25" Neck Frost Glass Victorian Shade with White Frost Design:
I purchased these as a gift to my sister. She is the owner of a quaint fixer-upper and is on a tight budget. I thought it would be fun in the interim to paint her brass 70's era chandelier and replace the cheap, frosted, fluted shades with these less-frilly shades.
The shades are larger than I expected - nearly 8" in diameter - and really heavy. I cannot get them to fit in the existing fixture even though they have the same size neck as the old shades.
You can't beat the price on these high-quality shades. I'm not sure if they are made to fit only Craftmade fixtures? I am not sure what to do with the 5 I purchased site-unseen. I guess I wish the description would have referenced the size of the shades.
