I installed the first of the one I purchased 2 years ago. I have it controlling 10 halogen surface mount lights at 20 watts each. It has "gone bad" 4 times since then. I think that it happens as a light blows. The lights halogen bulbs[...]don't last long. I think maybe the current spikes when a bulb blows and that may be what causes the unit to fail. I'm trying a 300 watt dimmer now.
