The Alto Collection was inspired by the great Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto who known as the father of modernism created the now ubiquitous bent plywood chair. These flowing roadway like patterns are at play in the Alto collection of Lamps from Switch. Each of these lamps have a flawless appearance that belie their painstaking handcrafted production from the handcasting of the ceramic material to the handcarving of their surface, each of our pieces is lovingly created by Lawrence Mcrae whose signature appears on the back of every piece. We believe that these clean and classic forms will blend well in a variety of interiors, and will bring years of pleasure to their owners who will delight in the care that was put into the making of their piece.
